Professional Home Inspection Service with Years of Real Estate & Financial Investment Experience

Wellnest Home Inspections is a locally owned inspection business located in Travelers Rest, SC, not a franchise. I provide high-touch services, focusing on future homeowners’ physical and financial health. As a father to young kids, I am particularly aware of the safety and health concerns that can impact kids. I will be unafraid to call out potential health items when I see them, for the benefit of my clients. I am also skilled in assisting future homeowners in determining the likely maintenance and repair costs associated with a home purchase. I chose the Wellnest name to signal my desire to prioritize the long-term well-being of my clients.

Buying a home is an exciting life decision that might occur only once or twice in a lifetime. While these decisions can seem daunting, a quality home inspection can help you traverse the difficult process. With crawl spaces being common in the Upstate and a common location of defects, I make every effort to crawl through every inch of a crawl space when accessible. I also utilize a 4K drone to inspect every roof detail. As part of all my inspections, I provide the client with a flyover video of their future roof and an aerial image of their future property taken with my drone. I also use a very high megapixel (MP) Infrared Camera with each inspection. This camera can potentially capture hidden home energy efficiency flaws.

My past experience has been as a professional market research analyst since 2015 covering global construction, financial, and manufacturing industries. I graduated with a B.S. in Finance and an M.S. in Entrepreneurship/Innovation from the University of Florida. During my career I have worked for Georgia Pacific, Rayonier Advanced Materials, Airgas, and the Dodge Construction Network. Past skills developed in market research and corporate finance roles allow me to report findings and write effective home inspection reports that clients can reference throughout the home closing process and for use in home maintenance planning. In 2021, I decided to translate my research skills into the built environment to begin the path to residential home inspection.

Michael is a South Carolina licensed home inspector with certification and training completed through AHIT, HIT-IT, and InterNACHI. Michael is also undergoing current training to become a licensed Building Biologist.
